Xiaomi has been expanding their field by slowly taking over the earphone and audio device segment with their line of hybrids, noise cancelling earphones and earpods. From the simple wired earphones to an entire Bluetooth range, Xiaomi has it all.
By now now you might be wondering, which is the best Xiaomi wireless earphones you can buy today.
Based on our tests and reviews, the best Xiaomi earphones you can buy are the Mi TWS Basic 2. These are the latest wireless earbuds from Xiaomi that have been designed to fit comfortably in your ear, offer high performance and come with a long battery life. They can be paired with both Android and iOS smartphones and use Bluetooth 5.0 for seamless and lossless music transfer.
How to choose the best Xiaomi earphones?
Xiaomi earphones are available in two styles, wired and wireless so the first thing you need to do is decide on whether you wish to own a pair of wired earphones or if you'd prefer to go wireless. Wireless is a more sensible option since most smartphone manufacturers are steering away from the 3.5mm headphone jacks and resorting to either USB-C or Bluetooth.
Another thing to consider is the design and build of the earphones. Not all earphones are designed to be worn in the rain or will sit snug if you're jogging. Key attachments like ear hooks or a neck band will be ideal for active people and Xiaomi earphones that carry an IPX waterproof rating will be perfect for those who go to the swimming pool or sweat a lot.
Finally, keep an eye out for easy access to controls on the earphones. Devices like the TWS range come with built-in sensors that you can use to navigate your playlist and change tracks. Some even come with built-in microphones and by simply tapping on the face plate you will be able to answer or reject calls. This makes life a whole lot easier than you having to pick up your smartphone every 2 seconds to do something.
How did we test Xiaomi earbuds
We put over 20 different Xiaomi earphones through a series of random tests to pull out the best from the lot. The products were then rated on 5 to showcase where their strengths and weaknesses lie. Some of the tests we conducted were
- The sound test where we listened to various genres of music at different volume levels to check which earphones sounded the best.
- We also put them through a battery test to see which ones die out faster than the rest and which ones charge faster.
- Durability was also considered and each earbud was checked to see if they are durable or would break if they are dropped from a height.
Based on our findings, the best sounding Xiaomi earbuds are the Basic 2 for the wireless category and the Pro HD for the wired category. The Xiaomi Air 2 was the winner of the battery test with a large built-in battery that has fast charging capabilities and finally the most durable Xiaomi earphones are the Mi Piston, for a budget friendly earphones they come with Kevlar wound wires to prevent them from snapping.
