In my opinion, the AirPods Max clone is not up to the mark in terms of audio output and quality of materials used to construct the device. I mean, they did a good job on the P9, and considering the price, theyâre worth it. But, the least the manufacturer could have done was use better quality materials for the casing and body of these fake AirPods Max.

Whatâs in the Airpods Pro Dupe Box?
Well, to start this off, donât expect much from inside the box. Itâs a clone and the boxing is pretty simple. The front and back of the box have images of the fake AirPods Max, the P9 branding along with a couple of trademarks and certifications legitimizing the product.Â
Moreover, the sizing and quality of the box gave me the impression that the Chinese have really upped their game and used good quality materials for the packaging.
Once you slide off the outer-box casing, youâre greeted with the following message âWireless Stereo Headset - Enjoy Musicâ. Once you lift the sheet from within the box, you will finally get to see the actual device itself. It comes wrapped in plastic and weighs around the same as the authentic Apple AirPods Max.
Underneath the fake AirPods Max, you will find a small plastic pouch that contains the dual 3.5mm audio cable and a micro-USB charging cable (yes, you read that right). You will also have a small user manual that comes within the small plastic pouch.

Okay, so moving onto the design of the P9. Once you take off the plastic covering, you are graced with the cheapest feeling clone of the AirPods Max.Â
The quality of the headphones are not up to the mark and though they look similar to the original AirPods Max, there are actually quite a few differences between them.Â
The biggest letdown is that the body is made from cheap plastic and the ear cups are made from faux leather. The finishing of the product is bizarre and the controls buttons are not smooth to use.
Well, what can you expect for something that costs under $10.00.
The headrest is adjustable and feels soft, but with excessive use I can guarantee that it would snap in two. Since the size is limited, it wonât be something that iâd recommend to someone who has either a big or small head size. You can buy the P9 fake AirPods Max in one of the five available color combinations, just like the original Apple AirPods Max.
Itâs sad that the manufacturers didnât put in any effort while making these clones. The P9 would have really sold in the market if they were comfortable to wear and came with a better quality design.Â
Fake Airpods Pro Functions and Use
While these fake AirPods Max might look okay, they have limited functionality and would serve as a connect & play headphones rather than smart headphones.Â
They do offer controls on the side that are not available on the AirPods Max (it uses a digital crown), making it easier for you to control your music playback and volume levels.
Once you switch on the P9 and enable Bluetooth pairing mode, you should note that the iPhone or Apple device youâre trying to connect to will not read the P9 and you will have to pair the devices manually from within the iOS Settings App.
When you successfully pair the device, you will hear an automated voice on the fake AirPods Max which informs you that the device has been connected. If youâre unable to pair the device or if the battery has been drained, then you can go ahead and use the 3.5mm audio cable and connect that to your headphones and phone.Â
Remember, original iPhoneâs donât have a 3.5mm port so you will need to purchase a lightning-3.5mm converter if you want to use the P9.Â
Finally, as I mentioned earlier, there are 4 buttons on the side of the P9 fake AirPods Max ear cup where three of them control your playback and volume levels, while the fourth is the power button which doubles up as a source selector. This button will let you pick between Bluetooth mode, Aux and SD card.
Yes, the P9 lacks the sensors that are available on the original AirPods Max and thatâs okay considering youâre paying next to nothing for them.

Performance & Sound Quality
In terms of device performance, the P9 doesn't sound as bad as I thought they would. They come equipped with 40mm drivers that deliver okay-ish sound but are not even close to the quality of audio the original AirPods Max deliver.
 On low volume levels, the P9 fake AirPods Pro sounds clear and youâre able to experience decent sound quality, but as you increase the volume over 70% it begins to crackle and sound bad. My suggestion if you do buy these headphones is to maintain a volume level anywhere between 50-70% for optimal sound quality.
The P9 delivers decent bass on low frequencies whereas it begins to jar when the volume is raised.Â
In my opinion, the performance of these fake AirPods Max could have been improved with better quality components. There are other fake AirPods Max available on AliExpress that you can check out if the P9 is not something that youâd like to pick up.
Connectivity
The P9 fake AirPods Pro is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 that allows you to pair the device with any other Bluetooth device including amplifiers and Home theaters. You will be able to stay connected to your primary device if itâs within a range of 10-15 meters and thereâs nothing in the way.

The P9 is powered by a 400mAh Li-ion battery that would provide you with an average of 10 hours of battery life from a single charge. Considering the price, the battery performance of the P9 is pretty good and it can take up to 2 hours for the battery to be fully recharged.
The major drawback of the P9 is that it does not come with a battery indicator, so you will have no way of knowing when the device needs to be recharged.Â
On the other hand, the P9 comes with a 3.5mm audio cable so you wouldnât have to worry about charging the device. Simply plug in the cable and youâre good to go.Â

Well, there are a few ways you can determine whether your AirPods Max are original or fake.Â
- The position of the buttons on the AirPods Max. The original product does not come with individual dedicated buttons on the ear cup.Â
- The quality of the materials used to make the AirPods Max. Original AirPods Max are made of high grade materials and once you hold the device you know at once that youâre holding something legit.
- The fake AirPods Max do not have a proper functioning digital crown on the ear cup. Moreover, there are no Siri capabilities with fake AirPods Max.
- Original AirPods Max have a battery life of roughly 20 hours from a single charge. Fake AirPods Max provide you with a max of 8-10 hours of playtime from one recharge.
