Skinceuticals Phloretin CF Vs CE Ferulic

Two of the most popular skincare products are Skinceuticals Phloretin CF vs CE Ferulic. They are both marketed as anti-aging products that can help improve the appearance of your skin. But which one is better? Let's find out in this skincare product comparison.

In general, I recommend PhloretinCF for my oilier skin, while Skinceuticals CE Ferulic is suitable for normal to dry skin conditions." These products are the foundation of SkinCeuticals' regimen. It is crucial to ensure that your skin type is compatible with them. Resveratrol B E is also an excellent product for nighttime.

Skinceuticals CE Ferulic

It was the first skincare product that I tried, and it has been my favorite. I have used it for years before switching to anything else.

It made a big difference in the appearance of my skin in 2009. It cleared up minor freckles, hyperpigmentation, and other issues that I had developed over years of sun exposure and acne-prone skin.

After three months of using the product, I received many compliments. Not only did I notice a difference in my skin, but others also noticed the improvement.

Skinceuticals CE ferulic is what I believe has kept my skin young and healthy for so long. While diet is important, it's more important to slow down the aging process from both the inside and the outside.

All skin types are suitable: Normal, dry, and sensitive skin.

Recommendations: For aging skin, discoloration, dehydrated and sensitive skin.

How long will each 30ml bottle last? If used on the face, it can last for 6-7 months if stored in the fridge.

Benefits

SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic has a few active ingredients that make it effective anti-aging properties and corrective serum for many skin conditions.

High concentration (stabilized) Vitamin C (L - Ascorbic acid) - 15%

L-ascorbic acids are the most effective form of vitamin C. Once properly stabilized in a skin serum, it can penetrate your dermis to increase collagen and protect your skin against free radical damage. Ascorbic acid also acts as a mildly effective sunscreen.

Vitamin C can also be effective up to three days after penetrating the skin. Numerous studies on vitamin C have been conducted, with low and high levels. They consistently prove that it is an effective anti-aging ingredient for the skin. It helps to prevent aging in your 20s.

Vitamin E (1%) is present in the form of alpha-tocopherol

Vitamin C and α-Tocopherol skincare work together to combat free radical damage. Vitamin E undergoes a redox cycle' which allows vitamin E to continue providing benefits by protecting the skin against environmental damage.

Vitamin E is an oilier ingredient that helps spread the serum more evenly across the skin. It doesn't block pores too much. This was not an issue for me as I am prone to acne and clogged pores.

Contains Ferulic Acid (0.5%)

The antioxidant power of Ferulic acid works together with other ingredients such as vitamin C and vitamin E to increase the photoprotection that you receive from this serum.

They found that photoprotection was increased by adding ferulic acids to the serum from 4 to 8 folds when measuring erythema or sunburn cell formation in one study.

Skinceuticals Phloretin CF or CE Ferulic Skinceuticals Phloretin CF

Skinceuticals Phloretin CF

Since I first started using this serum in my daily skincare routine, it's been around three years.

It was expensive, so I was initially a little hesitant. You don't want to purchase a skin serum that irritates.

Although CF Phloretin can be more expensive than Skinceuticals CE Ferulic, I ordered it due to my positive experiences with SkinCeuticals products. I also used the advanced pigment corrector.

The serum had interesting effects on my skin. I saw a decrease in pore size and skin reddening. My skin marks also disappeared a lot. The serum doesn't contain vitamin E, so my skin looked even.

All skin types are suitable: Normal, oily skin, or aging.

Recommendations to improve appearance: Acne and skin aging, hyperpigmentation, discoloration.

Phloretin CF is also free from parabens and dye. It's also fragrance-free. This is good because I am sensitive and try to avoid parabens.

There are some downsides to this product. It contains denatured alcohol. However, it has not been irritating my skin. It's believed to aid in deeper skin issues by allowing the ingredients to penetrate the skin more effectively.

How long will each 30ml bottle last? If used on the face, it should be suitable for 6-7 months if stored in the fridge after use.

Benefits

SkinCeuticals CF+Phloretin has a different formulation than Skinceuticals CE Ferulic. This has its advantages, but also some downsides.

Phloretin CF was developed to protect the skin against environmental damage and reduce the appearance of fine lines and discoloration.

The serum and gel can be used in different ways. The gel is easier to apply and spread evenly. This gel formulation is a recent addition to SkinCeuticals' product line. However, I prefer the regular serum.

Moderate concentrations of Vitamin C (L - Ascorbic acid) - 10%

Although I don't know why SkinCeuticals chose only to contain 10% of vitamin C in its products, I do wish it was higher.

However, a lower level of Vitamin C could indicate a more effective serum that allows vitamin C to penetrate deeper into the skin for curative effects.

High concentrations of phloretin (2%

The antioxidant phloretin can be found in the skin of apples. Phloretin, an antioxidant found in apple skin, has been a popular ingredient in skin serums for its ability to increase the effectiveness of vitamin C and improve photoprotection from UV rays.

It works by blocking inflammation, decreasing sunburn cell growth, and reducing the formation of thymine dimers (an indicator of DNA damage).

Researchers also found that the enzymes that degrade collagen and elastic in are decreased by phloretin. They also observed a decrease in the P53 protein, which indicates a reduction in cell death. The clinical trial on CF Phloretin results can be viewed here.

Contains Ferulic Acid - 0.5%

Phloretin-CF contains the same amount as the Skinceuticals CE Ferulic vitamin C serum. It's a good thing this was included in the formulation as ferulic is highly synergistic with vitamin C serum.

What Is the Difference Between Skinceuticals Phloretin CF and CE Ferulic

What Is the Difference Between Skinceuticals Phloretin CF and CE Ferulic?

Dr. Nichols says that the only difference between the Skinceuticals serums is their potency and Skinceuticals antioxidant serum. Both are excellent choices, she said. "But PhloretinCF is gentle enough to treat acne-prone skin patients, while the Skinceuticals C E Ferulic is more effective and has anti-aging properties."

This means that you will want to include Skinceuticals C E Ferulic in your daily routine if you fall within the normal-to-dry category. You might consider PhloretinCF if you are more oily.

Depending on the season, you may want to include both products in your skincare routine. Dr. Nichols says, "I suggest that my patients reassess the skin and their skincare regimen each season." PhloretinCF is a better choice than Skinceuticals C E Ferulic if your skin tone is oilier or more prone to breakouts.

Ingredients

C E Ferulic has 15% l-ascorbic and 0.5% ferulic acids, as well as 1% vitamin E. It also has a higher level of vitamin C than PhloretinCF. Dr.

Nichols says that the combination increases protection against environmental damage due to free radicals, which can cause atmospheric aging.

PhloretinCF also contains 10% l–ascorbic acid and 2% phloretin. 0.5% ferulic acid is on the other side. PhloretinCF does not have vitamin E, which is anti-aging properties.

Because Phloretin CF is for oily skin, it's the least hydrating of both. PhloretinCF does not contain the C E Ferulic formula's glycerin. Therefore, it might feel dry compared to C E Ferulic.

Should I use Skinceuticals Ce Ferulic Vs Phloretin Cf

Should I use Skinceuticals Ce Ferulic Vs Phloretin Cf?

C E Ferulic may be the best topical antioxidant to treat fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of firmness in average, dry skin, and sensitive skin types.

However, PhloretinCF may be a better option for combination skin, regular, and oily skin types to prevent aging in your 20s.

While both topical antioxidants contain L-ascorbic and ferulic acid, PhloretinCF is unique because it includes phloretin.

Phloretin, a natural antioxidant serum, comes from apples, pears, and other plants. Phloretin is a Skinceuticals antioxidant serum that neutralizes free radicals caused by UV radiation, infrared radiation, and ozone pollution. It also enhances the activity of other antioxidants, improves skin tone, and minimizes sun damage.

Skincare products that target discoloration will include C E Ferulic and Phloretin CF. These daily topical antioxidants are the first step to getting your skin on a healthy, even-toned path.

A comprehensive anti-discoloration regimen will enhance their effectiveness. These are just a few of the additional products you can use to help you reach your goals.

Dr. Joel Schlessinger, a board-certified dermatologist and LovelySkin CEO recommends SkinCeuticals antioxidant serums for his patients based on their skin type.

He states, "In general, I recommend PhloretinCF for my oilier patients, while Skinceuticals CE Ferulic is suitable for normal to dry skin conditions." These products are the foundation of SkinCeuticals' regimen. It is crucial to ensure that your skin type is compatible with them. Resveratrol B E is also an excellent product for nighttime.
