Looking for a Glossier boy brow review? Glossier's Boy Brow is a popular eyebrow product receiving much hype. This gel-based brow product is designed to keep your brows in place all day long. Please keep reading for my full review.
Ingredients: Your Eyebrows Will Be Grateful
Beeswax, carnauba wax: I find that other brow pomades have unforgiving formulas. Boy Brow is the best in this area. Boy Brow's beeswax & carnauba wax keep hairs in place and are not stiff. This makes it easy to fix a mistake if the product is too thick.
Oleic acid: Soft hair should be the goal. The fatty acids found in olive oil help moisturize your eyebrow hairs.
Atelocollagen: Collagen naturally occurs in our bodies. Atelocollagen, a water-soluble form of collagen, strengthens and conditions hair.
It's also worth noting that this product is clean by Byrdie's standards, as well as a cruelty-free, dermatologist- and ophthalmologist-tested, and formulated without fragrances or alcohol.
Formula
This formula is perfect for those who dislike their brow gel too stiff or crunchy. However, it may not be suitable for those with sloppy brows that require a stronger hold. It holds my brows in place reasonably well for someone with average eyebrows.
If you brush your hair in the wrong direction, they will move. My eyebrows are a mess if I pull tops over my head. It has a medium to light hold. It's very long-wearing, doesn't flake, smudge or transfer all day. This is even with oily skin.
The Feel: Dense, But Easy To Use
Boy Brow comes packaged in a small, white tube with a fluffy spoolie. Although it is difficult to describe the texture, I can tell you that it is dense and light. The formula was straightforward to use with my fingers even after drying on my hands.
The Results: Fuller Eyebrows In Seconds
As I began to swipe my spoolie upwards, I noticed a subtle but noticeable difference. It was amazing. How much product was needed to set my eyebrows? I could do both eyebrows with one more dip of my wand.
Application
The tiny spoolie application makes Boy Brow super easy and simple to use. I prefer to work the product backward so that the direction of my growth is not affected. Then I style the brows.
Because I have also coated the back of my hair, this results in thicker brows. It's essential to be careful as a lot can get out of the spoolie at once. I don't find it a problem as I can easily remove some product from the tube rim.
Boy Brow Clear And Brown: How Do I Use It?
Glossier Boy Brow comes in five shades: clear (blond), brown, black, auburn, and dark. Clear and Brown are my favorite shades. Both suit medium to dark brunette hair.
The Brown Boybrow is my go-to for a naturally complete, fluffy look. It transforms my eyebrows quickly and with minimal effort. I don't need to use any other products because the formula makes my eyebrows look fuller and darker. Brow Flick in Brown gives me more definition and fullness.
If I want a more defined look, I will fill in my eyebrows with the Refy Brow Pencil (or the Beauty Pie Superbrow Luxe Precision pencil) and then use the Clear Boy Brow to thicken them and hold them in place.
It's perfect for days without makeup because it adds a little extra oomph and is virtually undetectable.
Color Matching: It's Simple, But There Are More Options
You'd think that choosing a Glossier shade would be easy, considering four options are available: clear, blonde, brown, and black. However, I wasn't sure if I should choose brown or black.
This was due to a previous beauty mistake with a black eyebrow pencil. The color was too harsh on my brown skin. After looking at
Glossier reviews and photos, I decided to go black.
This product was great for me. However, it would have been helpful to have more color options for people whose brows don't look black, brown, or blonde.
The Value: It's Worth The Investment
My brow lady would visit me on average once per month, or approximately every six weeks. Each visit costs me around $20. Boy Brow is now my go-to brow specialist.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. It is also fragrance-free and cruelty-free. Anything can cause my skin to become reactive.
Brow Flick ($18) is a different product than the pencil, powder, gel, or gel you already love. It comes in three sheer shades and (surprisingly) versatile: Black, Brown, or Blond. These shades pair well with Boy Brow's complementary shades.
The formula is water-resistant, creating natural-looking strokes with a much less "drawn" look than pencils and stencils. The pen can be used anywhere you like, with more depth or definition, such as the arches or tails.
And thanks to the superfine, malleable brush tip, the final aesthetic looks pretty seamless. (Spoiler alert: It works!
The formula is composition- and ingredient-wise tested by dermatologists, ophthalmologists, and vegans. It's also hypoallergenic, dairy-free, and soy-free.
Other notable features include copolymers for durability, superfine pigments (for detection-free believability), and the flow-through brush tip (for precise application and fine lines).
The brand recommends that you start with clean skin for A+ application. This will ensure that the formula sticks to the skin in the way it was intended.
Next, hold the pen at a downward angle and lightly etch or feather your strokes wherever you need improvement. After the application has dried for 15 seconds, you can brush your hair with Boy Brow to give it a more defined and hold. Et voila! Brow Flick explained in a nutshell.
There's also the question of whether the Glossier baby is worth the hype. So I asked some of my Who What Wear colleagues to weigh in with before and after photos along with honest reviews. For our honest opinions, keep scrolling!
Glossier Boy Brow Reviews

"I am notoriously anxious about brow products. It is easy for brow products that go haywire quickly because of my fair skin and hair (and my sparse brows). Pencils are more precise and controllable than goopy gels.
So I was worried when Glossier announced their latest brow product, a pen. It sounds intense. My thoughts turned to a horrifying vision of a brow lift that looked more like a painting job than a natural-looking one."
"That being said, Brow Flick was a great product. I felt calm the moment I opened it up. The brush tip is excellent, and I found that I couldn't even see the product. It was like Britney Spears; it was so intense that I had an "Is this thing on?" moment.
Despite how subtle the application was, it did give me a steady, consistent, and user-friendly build in my brows.
"The job was completed in 30 seconds, and there was no trace of pencil left behind. Brow Flick delivers on the "your eyebrows, but better" front. This is my motto when it comes to enhancing my eyebrows.
I didn't need more pigment, so I just brushed them in with the clear Boy Brow product. But honestly, that's not something I do daily. I prefer to keep my eyebrows M.O. as minimal as possible.
Overall, I give Brow Flick five out of five stars. I might even love it as much as Lash Slick, which is my favorite mascara. The effect might not be dramatic enough for people who like a bold brow look (although you can always add definition with a second coat or Boy Brow).
I am also concerned that the pen may dry in two seconds flat. All in all, though, my first impression is stellar, and I'd recommend it for the person who loves a natural and super-low-maintenance brow look."
Update 12 hours later: "I applied Brow Flick in the office at 8 a.m., then went to a 6 pm. I produced buckets upon buckets of sweat during my spin class.
My brows were so clean and untouched after the class that they looked almost like new! Glossier! You weren't even playing when you stated that the formula was water-resistant.

"The brow trends of this decade have been very kind to caterpillars with thick, straight-across brows (thank god the 2000s are over!). I have been looking into every product to help me achieve my Burt and Ernie brow look.
Gels with fibers with many holds (like the boy brow) are my go-to brow products. These allow me to get the full, bushy look I want and super-sharp pencils that can fill in the gaps and give me individual brow hairs.
Glossier's Brow Flick was my first impression. The flexible tip and light liquid allow you to create hair-like lines in your eyebrows. The full, feathered effect is significant after getting a few coats of boy brow.
The only problem with the product is the way it deposits pigment. This is a good thing, but I worry that the applicator will dry out after five uses. We will only know if we do more experiments. For now, however, I am digging my *brows in flick* (sorry... had to).

It was so easy to use. The brush applies a thin stroke of color to my brows, making them look fuller, darker, and more even. I was a novice at all brow products (except for Boy Brow), so I tried it out on my brows to see what it looked like.
The formula isn't easy to smudge, so it works well if you use it where you want. However, it can be a little messy if you go beyond the lines (which I did quite a few times). Bow Brow was my final product.
It gave me a bold brow look that I am excited to recreate for the next event. To achieve a more natural look every day, I will probably keep the Brow Flick at my arches and use the Boy Brow in the clear.

"I love how subtle the pen can make a difference to my brows. It shapes and enhances my eyebrows without making it look like I have brow products. The pen has a light texture, almost like a brown watercolor.
