Fenty Skin Total Cleans'r Remove-it-All Cleanser
Surprisingly, out of all three products, this cleanser was my favorite and one that I will most likely incorporate into my routine. I don't usually get too fussy about my skin washes. They only stay on the skin for a few seconds, then go to the sink. So, all I need is to clean my face without irritating or stripping it.
I was skeptical about the idea of cream to foam formula that lathers while you massage it into your skin. I know that cream or cream cleansers can be too drying for my skin. They strip my skin of its natural moisture, cause my skin to become dry and oily, and cause my eyes to turn red and itchy.
This one is almost soft and almost like a melted marshmallow. The lather it makes feels very gentle, almost as if it's squeezing the skin. It is infused with vitamin C and other antioxidants and removed from my makeup without the use of double-cleansing or makeup removers.
It dispersed my mascara in seconds and did not irritate my sensitive eye at all.
Fenty Skin Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum
This toner serum formula was a delight to use, both texturally and emotionally. It is not what I expected. It is more solid and jelly-like than an essence, viscous, oily, and oily than a traditional moisturizer. Although Fat Water serum doesn't slip through my fingers, it can be applied easily with or without cotton pads.
Although it's extremely easy to spread, you can only apply a thin layer of the product over your entire face in about 2 seconds. However, it took 20-30 seconds for the product to soak into my skin and then dissipate. It didn't leave any greasy residue or slick oil sheen and did not leave my skin feeling stripped. (Although it left a slightly greasy residue).
This toner-serum combination contains most of my favorite ingredients, including aloe, Hyaluronic Acid, and Niacinamide. There are also a few additional goodies such as Kalahari Melon, witch hazel and baobab.
It's easy to use with the twist-up cap and squeezable plastic bottle. The idea of combining exfoliating and brightening, hydrating, and protecting benefits in one step is appealing. It's also worth mentioning the addition of niacinamide (a vitamin B3 derivative) which has been shown to improve skin texture and skin tone.
Fat Water toner serum has the most subtle scent, a faint floral that I couldn't live without, but it didn't ruin me.
I found the only problem with this product to be witch hazel. This astringent may have favorable properties for certain types of acne but can cause redness, dryness, or other skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema, or rosacea.
My face became more reddened and inflamed after using this product. I am a sufferer of rosacea, but not to the extent that it flared up into a full-blown rosacea attack. Unfortunately, this product will not be part of my daily routine.
