Cetaphil moisturizer contains Salicylic Acid (0.5%), which helps fight skin breakouts and promote clear skin. Prebiotics are also included to strengthen the skin barrier.

Bisabolol soothes the skin, while logic and licorice roots brighten and reduce hyperpigmentation. Cetaphil moisturizer contains squalane, hyaluronic, and soothing plant extracts such as allantoin to lighten the skin's hydration.


The ingredients of Aveeno and Cetaphil sunscreens protect skin from UVB and UVA radiation. Cetaphil sunscreens use only mineral-based filters (think zinc and titanium oxide), which create a physical barrier. Aveeno offers both physical and chemical sunscreens (like Avobenzone).

Both chemical and physical sunscreens protect against UVA/UVB radiations. It all comes down to personal preference.

Physical sunscreens will be more effective for those with sensitive skin. If not correctly formulated, physical sunscreens can leave a white cast.

Unfortunately, Cetaphil's acne-fighting range only contains two products. Both are formulated with salicylic acids to kill acne-causing bacteria and reduce inflammation.

These products contain soothing ingredients such as aloe vera and bisabolol, which help soothe the skin and reduce irritation from harsh acne-fighting products.

Cetaphil lotion and Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion body creams are great for those who need something more nourishing.

Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion includes Aveeno's oat extract and oat kernel oils and flour. These ingredients are great for itchy, dry skin.

They also help maintain the skin's healthy moisture barrier. Glycerin attracts water to the skin to keep it hydrated. Shea butter moisturizes and locks in moisture for softer, smoother. Ceramides protect the skin from the elements while keeping skin hydrated.

Cetaphil moisturizing lotion features the famous trio of Niacinamide (glycerin), panthenol, and Niacinamide to maintain skin hydration and skin barrier strength.

The Cetaphil moisturizing lotion also contains sweet almond oil and sunflower seed oil, which nourish the skin with vitamins and antioxidants and keep hydration locked in. The Cetaphil moisturizing lotion is seen as a very good product for dry skin.
